Attending a Meeting of the Board of Directors
As a public organization, we are committed to open and full accountability. Our board meetings are open to any interested community members, staff, physicians, volunteers or media. This is one way in which we demonstrate our commitment to two-way communication with our community.
With occasional exceptions, board meetings are held at 5:00 pm on the third Thursday of each month between September and June, either in the hospital board room or the Grove auditorium. Videotape, recording equipment, and cameras are not permitted at Board meetings. All meetings include an in-camera session for board members only, during which guests will be asked to leave for this portion of the meeting.
Public agendas for regular meetings of the Board of Directors will be posted below and will be available on or after the Friday preceding the meeting date.
If you would like to attend, we ask that you register with the Board Secretary by calling 613-623-3166 x221 to let us know. We need to ensure adequate space and seating are available.
Attendees may act as observers, meaning they may not speak at Board meetings unless invited to do so by the Board Chair. Should any individual or group wish to make a presentation to the Board, a letter outlining the nature of their request should be sent to the Board Office at least 10 working days prior to the meeting. The request will be considered by the Board Chair, and you will be notified one week prior to the meeting as to whether or not your request can be accommodated. Presentations are limited to 5 minutes and will be heard at the beginning of the meeting. Please forward such requests to:
