Board & Committee Recruitment

MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR LOCAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM

To All Interested Applicants:

Thank you for your interest in applying to join our Board of Directors or one of its three Standing Committees as a Community Member. These positions offer an opportunity to contribute significantly to both the oversight of  Arnprior Regional Health (ARH) and to the well-being of our community.

ARH through the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital, the Grove Nursing Home and Assisted Living Services Program provides emergency, acute and long-term health care to the residents of Arnprior and surrounding communities.

The Board of Directors is responsible for the oversight of ARH and is accountable for the corporation’s mission, vision and values; strategic planning; financial stewardship; quality of care performance monitoring; and communications with stakeholders.

As a Board Director you can expect to spend at a minimum of 10 hours a month preparing for and attending Board and Committee meetings. Board Meetings take place on the third Thursday every month from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (excluding July and August).

The Committees of the Board include: Resources Planning, Quality, and Governance. These committees directly support the decision making role of the Board. The Community Member is a new position and will be a voting member on the specific committee, meaning a key role in the oversight of the ARH.

As a Community Member the time commitment would be approximately 3 hours quarterly. Committee meetings occur from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. (weekdays). Members must be willing to read preparatory material and be prepared to participate.

If you feel you are able to contribute to these sessions we encourage you to apply online.
