July 3, 2023 – Based on the Ministry of Long-Term Care’s most recent COVID-19 guidance, The Grove Long-Term Care Home has eased masking requirements effective June 30, 2023.

Caregivers and general visitors are encouraged to wear a mask but are no longer required to wear a mask in all areas of The Grove. They also may share a meal in the communal dining areas.

Staff, students, and volunteers are only required to be worn based on a point-of-care risk assessment before entering a resident’s environment. Additionally, residents (or substitute decision-makers) may request staff to wear masks when providing direct care in alignment with the Resident Bill of Rights.

Masks continue to be available at the front door of the Grove and inside each resident’s room for staff use.
