When Tennille Wright was growing up, she was inspired by her mom’s friend who was a nurse and decided she wanted to follow in her footsteps.
After studying to become an RPN at Algonquin College in Pembroke, Tennille has not once regretted that decision.
Tennille began her nursing career at Renfrew Victoria Hospital and has now been at Arnprior Regional Health on the Inpatient Unit for 13 years (and counting).
“This feel like home, and I’ll probably be here forever,” shared Tennille.
Tennille has always taken the opportunity to get more involved at ARH to make it a better place. She serves on numerous committees including the Medication Management Committee, The Falls Committee, The Social Committee—and she is also a superuser for the CHAMP (Meditech) Project.
“Tennille is always positive, reliable, flexible and upholds all of our HART values,” said Rosa Vigliotti, Manager, Inpatient Unit. “She goes beyond her nursing role on the IPU and participates in various committees and has stepped up as a Meditech superuser to help our organization and team transition to the new system.”
What helps keep Tennille motivated is the great team she gets to work with.
“We’re like a giant family,” reflected Tennille. “Through COVID, the people you work with are basically the only people you see. I feel like we have become more of a team and rely on each other to a greater extent.”
