April 9, 2021 – Arnprior Regional Health’s (ARH) President and CEO, Eric Hanna, has formally announced he will retire in the fall of 2021 after 35 years working in healthcare administration.
“We are thrilled for Eric to begin his well-earned retirement, but recognize this is a significant loss for ARH, our regional health system and the local community,” said Barb Darlow, Chair, Board of Directors, ARH. “Eric’s commitment, hard work, tenacity, advocacy and kindness have contributed significantly to ARH improving healthcare in our community and leaves us extremely well-positioned to continue along the path he has established for us.”
In Eric’s 13 years leading ARH, he established strategic regional partnerships, introduced community programming to engage and support seniors aging at home, focused on improving staff engagement and the patient/resident/client experience, prioritized significant capital investments, secured the expansion of long-term care beds to more than double the current local capacity, and led the vision for the Seniors’ Village.
The Board of Directors will begin the formal recruitment process in May to ensure a smooth transition.
