Leah Levesque

August 19, 2021 – The Arnprior Regional Health (ARH) Board has appointed Leah Levesque as the next President and CEO of the organization, taking over from Eric Hanna who will retire on September 30, 2021, after leading ARH for 13 years.

Leah is currently the Vice President of Patient Care and Chief Nursing Executive at Queensway Carleton Hospital. Previously, Leah spent six years as a senior leader at ARH in the role of Vice President of Patient and Resident Care and Chief Nursing Executive.

“As a Board, we led a comprehensive and competitive recruitment process for the President and CEO position with exceptional candidates from the region and across Canada,” said Cathy Jordan, Chair, Board of Directors, ARH. “We are confident that Leah will be the right leader to steer ARH through post-COVID recovery, the continued growth of our long-term care program, the launch of the Ontario Health Team, and the strategic investments in medical technologies. Leah has a strong connection to the ARH community, a deep understanding of the clinical operations, and a commitment to strategic partnerships and collaboration.”

Leah holds a Bachelor of Nursing Science from the University of Ottawa and a Masters’ Degree in Health Administration from the University of Toronto. She is also a Certified Health Executive with the Canadian College of Health Leaders.

“I am really excited about this opportunity to take over the reins as President and CEO,” said Leah.  “I am extremely pleased to be returning to ARH. I look forward to working with the amazing staff, physicians, volunteers, management and leadership team as well as the Board of Directors who make ARH such an impressive organization.”

One of the key priorities for Leah and the ARH Board of Directors will be the launch of a comprehensive strategic planning process in early 2022 with full stakeholder consultation to set the course for the future growth and success of ARH.

Leah’s first official day at ARH will be October 1, 2021.
