ARH response to Microsoft outage
July 19, 2024 – CloudStrike, a multinational antivirus software, issued a defective software update to Microsoft Windows that affected networks globally. This update affected several clinical systems at Arnprior Regional Health. Although CloudStrike has since issued a fix for this defect, devices already affected must be manually restored to functionality.
Our teams, in collaboration with external partners, responded promptly to address the issue and are working diligently to minimize the ongoing impact on our operations.
There is no impact to planned surgeries and appointments.
