The Arnprior Regional Health Board welcomes three new directors

New board directors: Jenny Buckley, Tyler Pirie and Cathy Jordan

July 4, 2019 – Arnprior Regional Health welcomed three new directors to its Board whose professional experience and passion for community healthcare will help lead ARH through milestones such as the Grove redevelopment project and launch of the new Ontario Health Teams.

The three new volunteer directors are: Jenny Buckley, Cathy Jordan and Tyler Pirie. They replace outgoing directors: Chris Havey, Julie Martin-MacKay and Doug Wilson.

“ARH is fortunate to have the invaluable healthcare expertise and many years of experience our three new directors bring to our governance team,” said Barb Darlow, Chair, ARH Board of Directors. “On behalf of ARH, I’d also like to thank our outgoing directors, Chris, Julie and Doug, for their years of dedication and significant contributions they made to ARH and our community.”

Jenny Buckley has more than twenty years of health policy experience, examining issues and challenges across the continuum of health care. She is currently a Senior Improvement Lead with the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement helping enhance health care for everyone in Canada.

Cathy Jordan holds a degree in nursing and has extensive experience in the health and social services field. Most recently, she worked as a community health consultant and has partnered with ARH on projects.

Tyler Pirie was born and raised in Arnprior and is a masters-trained epidemiologist who currently works with the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) with a focus on opioid reporting.

“I have a deep-rooted connection to Arnprior and a passion for community health,” said Tyler. “I’m thrilled I can couple this with my professional knowledge around emerging health trends and my experience leveraging technologies to improve healthcare delivery.”

The ARH Board of Directors also welcomes two new committee members: Josh Hambleton, who will sit on the Governance Committee and Katrin Spencer, who will sit on the Resources Planning and Audit Committee.
