February 10, 2021
It is with great sadness that I announce the recent passing of Ron Kedrosky, former and long-time CEO of the Arnprior Hospital and The Grove Nursing Home.
Ron passed away at home on February 9, 2021 surrounded by his family. Many of you will remember Ron from the more than 20 years he dedicated as a leader in our organization and community with the unwavering commitment to improving healthcare. Ron was an early and strong proponent of regional collaboration. He was a driving force behind the creation of the West Ottawa Valley Network (WOVN) that brought together ARH, Queensway Carleton Hospital, Carleton Place District Memorial Hospital and Kemptville District Hospital to strategically integrate services such as lab and diagnostic imaging. This is where I first met Ron in my role as Chief Implementation and Integration Officer for WOVN in 2000/01, and was privy to his passion for regional healthcare collaboration. His work through WOVN laid the groundwork and created a template for our future collaborations including Health Links and the current Four Rivers OHT. Ron understood the importance and strength of regional partnerships in creating better patient outcomes and a healthier community. As we move this work forward, this will be a major part of Ron’s legacy here in Arnprior and beyond.
Final arrangements have been made through the Boyce Funeral Home and a private service will be held for invited friends and family. Donations in Ron’s memory can be made to Research at the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre, Arnprior Regional Health Foundation or the Arnprior and District Humane Society. Ron’s obituary is available here.
I would like to extend my condolences to Ron’s family, and his many friends and colleagues.
