COVID-19 Outbreak Declared OVER on the Hospital Inpatient Unit
Update October 30, 2024 –
The Renfrew County and District Health Unit has declared the COVID-19 outbreak on our Inpatient Unit officially over, and all outbreak-related visitor restrictions have been lifted.
🔹 General Visitors: Masking is again optional. We ask that general visitors refrain from visiting if they are feeling unwell.
🔹 Essential Caregivers: If you are feeling unwell but need to visit, please wear a mask.

Update October 23, 2024 – ALL visitors to the Inpatient Unit must wear a mask. If you are visiting a patient who is currently isolated, in addition to a mask you must also wear a gown, gloves, and visor or eye protection.
October 16, 2024 – Renfrew County and District Public Health Unit (RCDHU) has declared a a COVID-19 outbreak on the Inpatient Unit at the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital.
In partnership with RCDHU, we have put in place the necessary outbreak protocol to mitigate the outbreak and protect the health and safety of our staff and patients. This includes:
- Contact tracing and testing
- Isolation protocols
- Enhanced cleaning of high-touch areas
- Vigilance with PPE measures for staff, volunteers, and visitors
