COVID-19 Outbreak Declared on Oak and Maple RHA at the Grove Home

December 25, 2023 – On December 24th, Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) declared a COVID-19 outbreak on Maple and Oak Resident Home Areas (RHA) at the Grove Home.

The following guidelines are in effect on the listed RHAs:

Maple and Oak

Due to the outbreak, visitor access is restricted to essential visitors only. Essential visitors include Essential Caregivers who provide care to a resident, including supporting feeding, mobility, personal hygiene, cognitive stimulation, communication, meaningful connection, relational continuity, and assistance in decision making.

If you are visiting a resident who is currently isolated, you must wear a gown, gloves, visor or eye protection, and mask.

All visitors must adhere to the outbreak protocols posted in Home Areas.

All visitors must be asymptomatic when visiting a resident.

There are currently no visitor restrictions.  Please wear a mask while visiting the Grove Home in accordance with the masking policy.

Outbreak Protocols

In partnership with RCDHU, The Grove has implemented the necessary outbreak protocols to protect the health and safety of residents and staff. This includes:

  • Contact tracing and testing
  • Isolation protocols
  • Enhanced cleaning of high-touch areas
  • Increased PPE measures for staff and essential caregivers
