Eric Hanna, President & Chief Executive Officer

Eric Hanna is currently the President and CEO of Arnprior Regional Health, one of Ontario's first integrated health service organizations providing a range of services across the continuum of acute, community and long term care.   

He held the position of Vice President of Corporate Services of Queensway Carleton Hospital, a large community teaching hospital in West Ottawa, from September 2001 to December 2008. During his tenure, he supported and led fiscal stability in the organization, led the corporation through the organizations most significant capital redevelopment since its initial construction and successfully created a vision and implementation strategies for regional programs such as MRI, rehabilitation, clinical laboratory medicine, information systems and materials management.

For 25 years, he has held multiple senior leadership positions, including several senior roles at community hospitals in Barrie, Bowmanville, and Whitby.  Eric has extensive planning in health service delivery gained through experiences as a Director with one of Canada's largest consulting firms, and a one year secondment with the Ontario Ministry of Health.  During healthcare restructuring in Ontario, Eric actively participated in committees of the Health Services Restructuring Commission, Ontario Hospital Association and the Joint Planning and Policy Committee.  Currently he is a member of several task groups working with the Champlain LHIN and Provincial Expert Panels in the development and implementation of integrated service delivery models for both clinical and non-clinical services.
 
Mr. Hanna is a Certified Executive with the Canadian College of Health Leaders and a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is the past Chair of the Ontario Division of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.   He has held positions on other Boards, such as Durham Victorian Order of Nurses, Durham CCAC, and the Eastern Ontario Regional Laboratory Association (EORLA).

In February 2011, he received the Chairman's Award for Distinguished Community Service from the Arnprior Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Hanna holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Ottawa.  In addition, he has received his Chartered Accountants designation along with a Certificate in Long Term Care Administration.
