Arnprior Regional Health is committed to ensuring that we are recognized for providing exemplary care. As part of that commitment, ARH has collaborated with our partners, you our patients, to develop this Declaration of Values. By promoting and respecting these rights and responsibilities, we can successfully fulfill our mission and vision and demonstrate these values in our provision of care.

RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Arnprior Regional Health is committed to ensuring that we are recognized for providing exemplary care.  As part of that commitment, ARH has collaborated with our partners, you our patients, to develop this Declaration of Values.  By promoting and respecting these rights and responsibilities, we can successfully fulfill our mission and vision and demonstrate these values in our provision of care.  

RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We believe that all patients have the following rights and responsibilities:  

As a patient, I have the following rights:                                                                           

  • The right to quality care, without discrimination                                                     
  • The right to be treated with dignity and respect                                                      
  • The right to privacy and confidentiality                                                                    
  • The right to participate in, and make informed decisions about, my care 
  • The right to have my family participate in my care at my request
  • The right to my health information, including health records                                 
  • The right to compliment, or complain, without fear of retaliation or compromising quality of care
  • To be respectful of, and to, the health care providers who are providing care
  • To treat all healthcare providers in a non-abusive manner  (verbal and physical)
  • To be respectful of the needs of other patients and their families
  • To give health care providers the most accurate health information                      
  • To participate in the creation of  your treatment plan                                             
  • To follow the health care facility’s rules and regulations as posted                        
  • To report any changes in my medical condition                                                       
  • To provide feedback to assist in improving my hospital experience

 

As a patient, I have the following responsibilities:
